Era Of Friendship
Together we have come so far around
Hand in hand as we walked in the school ground
Kindy to year 6 has been a bliss
Muddy puddles and paint oh!, what a miss!
Riddles and games were our favourite
Can’t remember how many times we were grounded
Dancing, singing, gala days.
Embarrassing me by cheering loud Lockdown days were a pain
Not able to see you again
Sleepover and birthday parties were a bonus
My mind full of focus
Little did I know we will part our ways soon
Can’t get over the thought of not having you around
Hope these years pass by and we reunite
I secretly I pray for you to stay never knowing when a miracle may happen
You have been a friend who is mighty You have been a friend who I cannot take lightly
You have never lied to me, your word I always guarantee
Slow, lonely, years apart from you have gone by 1, 2 &3
With every year, the seasons change
But you my friend forever remain the same
You are a gift to my soul And a win to my heart
You have never judged me but embraced me for who I am
You are my spirit and light
You are witty and annoying
But without you I am nothing
For good and bad times
Cheers to the years we’ve had together.
