Mother Daughter Mass 2018 - A celebration of Mercy

On Monday May 14, OLMC held its 2018 Mother Daughter Mass in the Mother Mary Clare Dunphy Chapel.

It was a beautiful community celebration and a chance to give thanks for our mothers.

Thank you to the P&F and the Dads volunteered to prepare the Afternoon Tea.

OLMC mum Miriam Stariha shared her thoughts about being a Mercy Mum at the Mother Daughter Mass. Here are some excerpts of her wonderful speech:

"I believe that OLMC provides the learning environment that gives our girls the best of both academic excellence and emotional intelligence. I hope that my girls consider an education in the Mercy tradition for their own girls, should they be blessed with children, and thus continue the path that we consciously chose for them."

"I want my girls to make a difference, maybe not on their own, but certainly to add their support to a groundswell that will make a difference. Catherine McAuley's legacy lives on at OLMC - the College's commitment to empowering young women attests to this."
