Mercy Day 2018

Mercy Day 2018

On Friday September 20, the OLMC community celebrated the 2018 Mercy Day.

This much-treasured annual celebration began, as is tradition, with a celebration of the Eucharist in the Ailsa Mackinnon Community Centre, led by Father Walter Fogarty. Mercy Girls and staff were privileged to be joined by many special guests including the Parramatta Sisters of Mercy. The theme of the Mass was "Building up the Body of Christ for the glory of God." At the end of the Mass, Ms Ann-Marie Herd was acknowledged for her dedicated service to the College for 30 years as a teacher.

Mercy Girls enjoyed a wonderful day of celebrations following the Mass. There were House fundraising activities, raising money for Mercy Works, which gave girls the chance to participate in games, challenges and purchase an array of delicious treats! In keeping with tradition, there was much dancing and singing and a sausage sizzle for lunch.
