International Women's Day at the Library

International Women's Day at the Library

During International Women’s Day, the library highlighted the significance of women authors and their voices in shaping our understanding of the world. Stories have the power to foster empathy, challenge perspectives, and inspire change. When students see diverse female voices reflected in literature, they not only broaden their horizons but also gain the confidence to envision themselves in new and transformative ways.

This year, we reflected on the theme Accelerate Action, a call to fast-track progress toward gender equality. In collaboration with students, we created a banner adorned with purple ribbons, symbolising solidarity and support for women's rights.
